Voltage mt dew flavors make9/17/2023 ![]() Mtn Dew has a following so devoted it makes Catholicism seem like a casual hobby. What I’m saying is that this project has ruined me. If someone can name more than three flavors of Mtn Dew off the top of their head, they probably aren’t fit to live in society. You are probably saying to yourself, “I did not know so many flavors of Mtn Dew existed.” That is a reasonable response. What is going on with the fish? Is that a fish?Īnd so, I hunted down 21 flavors of Mountain Dew, or Mtn Dew, as it was recently and unnecessarily rebranded. I can only assume Kavanaugh is somewhat responsible. ![]() I’m not normally compelled to drink Mountain Dew Overdrive, which professes to have “a bold, charged citrus punch” flavor, and has a bear that looks like it’s an anti-vaxxer on the label. Wade? No, of course not.īut like, those fuckers didn’t help. Am I actually blaming my Mountain Dew escapades on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. ![]() Sometimes, you need to be reminded that your body is still yours, and that you can do with it what you want, no matter what anyone else says. I’ve tried to find the logic in my actions, and as best I can tell, it’s this: sometimes, the world becomes a dark place, and you desperately need a distraction from all of it. Why am I voluntarily drinking a beverage whose ad campaigns seem to vaguely suggest sexual violence? Why am I forcing my kidneys to undergo the aging technique used in that Benjamin Button movie to make Brad Pitt look like a testicle? Why am I doing this twenty-one times? Posted in: Food, Life at Home, Nothing to Do With Travel, Random MusingsĮxplaining why I embarked on a quest to consume as many different flavors of Mountain Dew as possible is not an easy task. ![]()

Boondocking quartzsite az9/17/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() 2/ Rummage Sales -> Worth it! The key to rummage sales is patience, & a keen eye. After looking at many, many LEDs we finally found the perfect mood light for one of our decorative fittings, and our neighbors (Alex&Ellen) were able to get a bulk deal to re-do their entire rig. They’re not the cheapest in Q (the cheapest LED lights you can get are on eBay directly from China), but here you can see a massive selection and try out the different kinds/colors in your rig before you finalize your buy. LED lights were a HUGE draw this year and the most busy booths. I love the power-savings from LED, but I’m very particular about light quality and LED’s can vary ALOT (color/brightness etc.) between vendors even with exactly the same specs. I figured it would be interesting to share my perspective on it: 1/ LED Lights -> Worth it IF You’re Picky! TONS of spots selling LEDs here. ![]() On the $$ side we ended up spending ~$240 at the show (which was rather reserved of us, I thought) most of which was stuff we never knew we needed (isn’t that always the case?). Being a rather dedicated rummage shopper and having spent a solid week in the trenches I can say there are things worth buying at Q and things I would stay away from. Afternoon view of our siteĪs for us? We’ve been hanging at our lovely site, shopping the rummage sales, and socializing, and all this despite a few days of rain (thankfully gone now). Alot of the big RV social groups are gone, but there are still a bunch of vendors in the streets and a fair few rigs in the desert gearing up for the massive Gem & Crafts Show that starts this week. The “big RV show” officially ended yesterday, and 2 of the rigs in our group have gone (sniff, sniff…Polly’s BEST PAL Lewis is sorely missed), but we decided to hang out for a few more days of free camping while we figure out our next move. Edwin smith papyrus written in9/17/2023 ![]() The rims were made by reheating, cutting, and pressing the glass into shape. These two vessels were formed around a clay core, which was scraped out after the glass had cooled and hardened. Like pomegranates, glass-making arrived in Egypt in the New Kingdom, perhaps also as an import from western Asia. ![]() ![]() Written in hieratic script in ancient Egypt around 1600 B.C. The latter use is perhaps likelier for the smaller, green jar, which depicts the fruit in its unripened state, when the juice is too sour to drink. English: The Edwin Smith papyrus, the worlds oldest surviving surgical document. Abstract The Edwin Smith Papyrus, discovered in 1862 outside of Luxor, Egypt, is the oldest known surgical text in the history of civilization. These two jars were made to hold pomegranate juice, probably as a drink but perhaps also for medicinal purposes. The juice is also helpful in treating stomach disorders such as dysentery and diarrhea. The root of pomegranate trees is prescribed in medical papyri as a vermifuge against intestinal worms its active ingredient, pelletrin, is still used for this purpose. Their juice was prized as a drink but can also be used as an astringent to shrink tissues and reduce swelling in wounds. Pomegranates were introduced into Egypt from western Asia in the New Kingdom. There are three categories of injuries-"an ailment I will handle" (describing injuries for which a known cure existed) "an ailment I will fight with" (denoting one whose treatment was less certain) and "and ailment for which nothing is done" (meaning one for which no practical treatment was known). The Edwin Smith surgical papyrus, which dates back nearly five millennia, is the oldest known medical text and contains the first written example of the word 'brain', as well as the earliest known descriptions of the meninges and the cerebrospinal fluid. The Edwin Smith Papyrus represents, therefore, the oldest known medical work. The injuries listed are consistent with those sustained in war or construction. The original authors first manuscript was produced about 3000 to 2500 B. The work includes descriptions, examination procedures, diagnoses, and practical treatments for forty-eight distinct injuries, beginning at the top of the head and ending at the shoulder blades and chest. On the basis of the handwriting, it has been dated to about 1600 B.C., but on the basis of language (and errors in transcription), the work is believed to be a copy of another text that was written some three centuries earlier. ![]() Baron de Larrey, a French army surgeon during Napoleon’s Russian campaign, packed the limbs in ice prior to amputations to render the procedures painless. The Edwin Smith Papyrus is named after its original owner, Edwin Smith, an American Egyptologist (1822–1906) who purchased it in Luxor in 1862. The Edwin Smith Papyrus, the most ancient medical text known, dated 3500 B.C., made numerous references to the use of cold as therapy. ![]()

Judge not lest ye be judged verse9/17/2023 ![]() ![]() 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.ģ And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Ĥ Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?ĥ Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.Ħ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.ħ Ask, and it shall be given you seek, and ye shall find knock, and it shall be opened unto you:Ĩ For every one that asketh receiveth and he that seeketh findeth and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.ĩ Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?ġ0 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?ġ1 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?ġ2 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.ġ3 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:ġ4 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.ġ5 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.ġ6 Ye shall know them by their fruits. ![]()

Dress up disney princess9/17/2023 ![]() She acquires the title of Princess Consort through her marriage to Prince Eric, though it is unclear whether he is a Prince Regnant (most likely), the son of a King, or both.īelle is the fifth Disney princess and the female protagonist of the film Beauty and the Beastand its two sequels. Ariel's title of Princess comes from her father, King Triton, a title she shares with her six older sisters. ![]() She is sixteen years old in the first film and is presumably in her late twenties in the sequel. With her film having been released in 1989, she was the first Princess in 30 years, the last one having been Aurora, who's film was released in 1959. Ariel is the first Disney Princess to have not been born human and is also the first Disney Princess confirmed to have children as she and Eric have a daughter, Melody, in the sequel. Jodi Benson provides both the speaking and singing voices of Ariel in all Disney animated appearances. Aurora has the purest pedigree of any Disney Princess, being the first and only child of a king ( King Stefan) and also presumably marries Prince Phillip, the firstborn son, and heir of a king ( King Hubert).Īriel is the protagonist of the films The Little Mermaid, The Little Mermaid II (although the title of the main female protagonist is shared with Melody) and The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning, as well as The Little Mermaid Television Series, based off of the Danish fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson. Disney based theirs off the French version, which was based on the Italian version.Īurora has the distinction of being both the Princess with the least amount of screen time and singing more of her lines than speaking them. It is Italian and involves her falling under a spell after getting a splinter, and the rest is too grim to put on here. ![]() The original story is much darker than the Disney version. Mary Costa provides the voice/singing voice for Aurora, giving her a British accent. Hearthstone meta decks december 20169/17/2023 ![]() ![]() The difference here is you can buy all the collection for 50€, while it's usually 50€ for a large pack of booster (like in hearthstone, for exemple). If you don't want to lose time on farming, you can also buy boosters, just like in any other cards game. You also win a booster each time you level up.Ĭrafting is also a lot cheaper in Faeria, since you need 400 raw material to craft a Legendary card (the rarest ones), while you need 1600 in Hearthstone for the same result. Quest also give more gold (60-80 in faeria, for 40-60 in Hearthstone). The difference stand by the numbers: in Faeria, you earn 10 gold per win, while in Hearthstone it's 10 gold per 3 wins. You can also craft cards using raw materials you get from unused cards you want to get rid of. The idea is exactly the same, aka earning gold by winning or doing daily quest, and buying booster for 100 gold each. So let's compare thoses two systems with the most popular card game, Hearthstone: You know, basically just like every other cards game. ![]() So unless you want to play during early access (with its amount of bug and unbalanced gameplay), it's just your typical free to play game with a grinding/store system. Right now, the game cost 8€, but it will be free on its release. Since it seems to be the first concern about the review. Keep in mind that the game is still in early access. Ok i've spend more than 40hours on this, i guess i have to write a review now. What makes it worse is each time the devs come out and talk about it it comes out as condescending and blaming the player base for over emphasizing the impact of the pandora shards. The only people I've seen praise this system are praising it as a very casual format which is counter to how Faeria is presented (a potential e-sport). The actual drafting will be familiar to anyone who's played digital CCG's before but in the middle of games you randomly draw "pandora shards" which wildly swing the game often leading to players who were very far ahead due to clever play now being at parity or even behind because of a single shard. It's launch ended up being one of the bigger dissapointments I've witnessed in gaming. The draft mode, called pandora, was much anticipated and about 2 months late. I find this unacceptable for a game that isn't free, when it's competitors are, and has a terrible draft mode. The constructed mode is fun and skill intensive but unless you want to pay more money it takes forever to build a collection solely through dailies and constructed wins. ![]() The game itself is fun but recent changes to the game have been almost entirely negative and the developers refuse to acknowledge it as of this review.
