3d realms casual9/18/2023 ![]() You know what Pootis I could bash you for the usual cynicism but I won't because at this point I'm just worried. “3DanishRealms” is terrible and we could all get busted for the DNF stuff. Originally posted by PootisMayo:We get it. And that's not 3D Realms because 3D Realms was an independent company, not a group that could just be told what to do from above. You know, if you have to eat your words by taking the absolute opposite stance of what you thought just a few years ago then I'll seriously question your honesty and my suspicion will be that you're controlled by other actors. Yeah, sure, look I don't have an axe to grind with anyone when it comes to entertainment but there is a level of obviously spineless, wormlike behavior that I won't tolerate. ![]() ![]() then they get bought by the Embracer Group and now it's an evil thing to play these. In September 2010, Take-Two Interactive Software shifted production of the game to Gearbox Software (however, 3D Realms still shares a credit in making the game). In 2009, the company had some setbacks, involving the development of the infamous Duke Nukem Forever, with lack of funding and staff cuts. In 1996, with its developers focusing more on 3D games, the Apogee name would be phased out in favor of 3D Realms (the Apogee name would return in 2008, albeit with a different company). ![]() The first game to be released under the brand name was Terminal Velocity, but is best known for the Duke Nukem series. 3D Realms was originally a brand name of Apogee Software, a Texas-based video game publisher founded in 1994 to produce games in 3D. ![]()
